Järla Orientering startade påskveckan med att bjuda på en medeldistans för stockholmare och tillresta. Platsen var Orminge och tävlingen hölls i Skarpnäs, som numera är ett naturreservat i Nacka. Området bjuder på väldigt vacker natur med små sjöar, fina hällar och en del branta partier som banläggarna utnyttjade för att utmana löparna både tekniskt och fysiskt. Området passar utmärkt för medeldistans med sin varierande terräng och det är förstås ett stort plus att det kan nås med kollektivtrafik.

Arrangemanget blev en solig tillställning. Efter en lång torr period i mars och början av april hade grönskan inte slagit ut och det var snabbsprunget i markerna och torrt och fint på arenan. Framåt lunch värmde både solen och deltagare och grillmästarna fick slänga vantar och mössor, lätta på täckjackor och ta fram solglasögonen.

I år hade vi också möjlighet att skriva ut kartorna på ett vatten- och slittåligt papper. Tekniken har använts tidigare, bland annat i Göteborg, och nu vill vi se vad stockholmarna tycker. Spontant verkar det ha fallit väl ut, men eftersom väderleken var god kanske papperet inte utmanades riktigt.
